Overview:

Baseband Telecom Corp. is a national infrastructure, utilities and specialty contractor serving the wireless, broadband, and telecommunications markets. We plan, design, build and support communications infrastructure for our clients across the Southwest Region.Our Underground Construction Laborer position performs a wide variety of duties in support the installation of underground utilities. This position works establishing, building, and maintaining various underground utility projects and involves physical labor tasks at road/highway sites and heavy construction projects.Responsibilities:Operates a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.Operate basic equipment including skid steer, mini-excavator, backhoe, dump trucks, compactorsRead blueprints for installation specs for all infrastructure and grade requirementsLay conduit in trenchHot-bend PVC to align with electrical equipmentAssist directional drilling crews with digging pits, potholing and assembling pipeSet forms, pour and finish concrete for equipment padsDig trenches, backfill excavations, or compact earth to grade specifications, using shovels and other equipmentFollow project plans by loading and unloading materials, machinery, and tools; and distribute to appropriate locationsPerform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in road/highway environments to prepare worksite for Trenching and backfilling.Locate underground utilities and eliminate potential hazards for cabling work to be completedUse of hand tools and machinery including shovels, picks, and various power tools to complete arrangements.Maintain a clean job site: ensure tools are in proper place, secure equipment and supplies to avoid potential hazards.Ability to assist in laying pipe, backfilling and setting pull boxes.Conduct traffic control near, in or around work zonesPerform material handling and storage tasksEnsure proper safety techniques and incident reporting procedures are followedOther duties as required.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredOSHA 30 preferredOne or more years of roadside construction experience preferredClass A CDL is preferredAbility to demonstrate competence with hand and power toolsValid Drivers license (CDL highly preferred)Ability to adhere to management directive and company policies requiredTeam-player attitude and professional acumen requiredAbility to drive for results completing assignments timely and accuratelyAbility to handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skillsComfortable working with a team or aloneMust be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check and driver's license verificationAbility to lift, push and pull materials to complete assigned job tasks.Experience working with Directional Drill crew a plus.Pay range:

$20.00 - $30.00 hourly based on experience.
