State Street Alpha is data-intensive, requiring analysis, validation, requirements gathering, mapping, and data quality assurance, among other items. The Data Strategy team defines the best practices for data management for CRIMS and Alpha implementations. The team also actively participates in implementations to ensure these standards are implemented.Join us if being a key driver in how next-generation initiatives are delivered sounds like a challenge you are interested in.What We Are Looking ForA Data Strategy Consultant who can perform the following activities:Function as the data technology and strategy subject matter expert by leading the data consulting workstream on implementation around Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) and Alpha.Lead or contribute to CRIMS implementations by evaluating data requirements while providing product expertise and guidance throughout the project. Ensure the solutions developed by Charles River meet the customer's business needs and that the customer can assume ownership and operate the solution effectively.Lead the data management portion of client implementation assessments during the sales process.Assist other Professional Services team members by developing a central knowledge repository and best practices around data strategy.Educate customers on best practices around data management and data quality within CRIMS and Alpha.Monitor and evaluate customer data requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions and services. Document and communicate product improvements as part of customer-specific implementation projects or in response to trends in the marketplace.Contribute to software quality by communicating defects to Client Support and Product Management by providing clear outlines of defects and validating suggested fixes.Analyze and evaluate customer data requirements, needs, and gaps to help Charles River respond to sales opportunities. Execute proof-of-concept projects and for potential customers to demonstrate the potential of CRIMS to satisfy the specific needs of potential customers.What We ValueSenior Consultants should have experience in one or more of the following:First-hand knowledge of financial operations from a bank, corporate, consulting, or software vendor background.Consulting experience implementing Capital Markets or IT projects successfully.Understanding of multi-tier technical architectures, data feeds, import/export mapping, and relational database structures.Familiarity with SQL, Bloomberg, or financial analytics providers (FactSet, Yieldbook…) is a plus.Experience with tracking, managing, and troubleshooting data flow for software implementations.Demonstrated analytical skills.Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.Education & Preferred QualificationsFour (4) year degree in Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science. An advanced degree or industry certification such as the CFA is a strong plus.5+ years of relevant experience.The ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada and work effectively when remote from clients.
