DescriptionAviation Safety DirectorAbout us:Premier Private Jets is a rapidly growing Part 135 vertically integrated air charter company, operating a fleet of light and medium and large cabin jets. Premier also maintains its own FAR Part 145 certified repair stations, AOG divisions, and just completed another major FBO acquisition. The company is currently seeking candidates for the position of Aviation Safety Director to work at our Stuart FL location.This position will Direct the Aviation Safety Program including the collection of hazard and safety data, identification of trends, hazard mitigation procedures and oversight and management of safety programs such as the company’s Safety Management Systems (SMS), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and Baldwin. Provide the Director of Operations, VP of Maintenance and Chief Pilot recommendations on how to minimize the risks involved in PPJ flight operations and maintenance divisions with regard to all safety aspects.Duties:Oversight and management of aviation safety programs such as the Safety Management System (SMS), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Baldwin and others as required.Perform data analysis and trending for flight and maintenance hazards. Work with Flight Operations and Maintenance staff to recommend safety improvements for crewmembers and mechanics.Manage and coordinate risk management and reduction strategies within the organization.Perform and coordinate incident, accident and irregular operations drills and event investigations as required. Work with local and onsite entities to include the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) when required.Attend and represent PPJ at industry and safety related functions including our parent company.Manage 3rd party safety audits.Benefits :Medical, dental, vision and life.Short and Long-Term Disability401(k) Savings Plan with Company match.Paid time-offRequirementsQualifications:4+ years' related work experience.Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Safety, Engineering or Aviation Management.Airline Transport Pilot License; experienced as a Pilot in Command of a multi engine/multi crew turbojet aircraft.Previous experience as a participant, or leader, of an aviation safety program.Experience with analysis of data and risk mitigation using statistical analysis, risk assessment and systems engineering concepts.Experience as crewmember in a multicrew turbojet aircraft operation.Working knowledge and understanding of aviation safety programs, including Safety Management System (SMS), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and others.Baldwin Safety SoftwareOutstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and oral communication skills.PC Skills, including MS office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)Must live in or be willing to relocate to Stuart, FL.
