Description
Kett Engineering is currently seeking a hardworking, detail oriented, and team contributing test driver for
1st shift with the flexibility to work 2nd shift
occasionally
on behalf of our client based out of a test center in Dearborn. All applicants must meet the minimum criteria below.
Shift Times:
7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Job Summary:
The test driver will operate technically advanced pre-production vehicles as part of a team on public roads while performing a full vehicle evaluation for each drive cycle. The test driver will be responsible for identifying any issues in relation to the powertrain, quality of build, functionality and design of vehicle systems, and any other vehicle related items.
Job Responsibilities:Complete a full vehicle evaluation and complete a clear and concise report and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.Drive on designated routes for
8 10 hour shifts
while performing test procedures.The
schedule is for 13 days on and 1 day off, so there will be ample opportunity for overtime.Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving and designated special tests.Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.Maintain safety and security procedures.Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid Michigan drivers license for a minimum of 4 years. Have no points, no major traffic citations, and/or accidents for the past three years. No DUI or DWAI.Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, written driving test, a road driving test, read maps, lift at least 25 pounds, and be able to travel outside of state limits.High school graduate or equivalent required.Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time.Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.Follow directions and execute tasks. Be reliable and maintain good attendance.Complete required trainings.Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.
