** Transportation Assistant****Department of Veterans Affairs****Location**1 vacancy in the following location:** Relocation expenses reimbursed**No** Telework eligible**No**Duties**** Summary**This position is located at the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS), Prescott. Arizona, in the Grounds and Transportation Section of the Facilities Management Service Line and is under the general supervision of the Section Supervisor. The incumbent provides fleet management support for the NAVAHCS and its assigned Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), DAV Chapters and Vet Centers.**Responsibilities**Duties Included but not limited to:+ Responsible for all fleet management functions relating to VA-owned, GSAleased and short-term rental vehicles.+ Responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, and maintaining consistency in fleet services.+ Provides program oversight, ensures that all vehicle use is in compliance with specifications and that proper procedures, safety rules, medical center policies, and all government (federal and state) regulations are being followed.+ Determines procedures to be implemented or changed within the Medical Center's purview in order to meet the new requirements.+ Manages the fleet credit card accounts.+ Reports all GSA mileages monthly and revieNS monthly GSA bills for accuracy. During visits to work site, the incumbent is exposed to working conditions similar to those of a journeyman level mechanic. Work areas may be hot, cold, duty, or dirty.
