Job Description:
Education :High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredWork Experiences:1+ year of related work experience6+ months of supervisory experience preferredKnowledge of distribution functions and production standards preferredSkills:Must have a "Safety First" mentalityMS office, with Intermediate experience in Excel and other warehouse management system softwareEffective listening, speaking and writing communication skillsInterpersonal skills that promote collaboration with operations teamAbility to analyze problems and resolve issues in a calm, professional manner in a fast paced and frequently changing environmentMust be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risksResponsibilities:Supervise Distribution Center crews and participate in activities related to receiving, storing, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of materials and supplies to ensure effective and efficient operationsPromote productivity and safety through effective training and constant feedback to team membersMonitor team member attendance and performance to provide feedback, as necessaryMaintain daily objectives and ensure work goals are met in a timely and effective mannerCommunicate with other Distribution Center departments to maintain efficient product flowConduct departmental meetings to provide working and safety instructions to team members*Performs other general warehouse duties as needed*Disclaimer: Not designated to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. The position involves considerable physical exertion. Extra precaution, safe truck operation and procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Team member must have an active PIT Certification (provided by Academy) in order to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.Full time
