Mechanical Products is a stand-alone business unit with about $500M in annual revenue.Our global locations include 66 manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 4,000 employees.We are currently searching for a Sr. Warehouse Coordinator to be based out of our Harvey, IL location. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this person will be responsible for monitoring order statuses, cycle counting, assisting transportation and other various duties.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a distribution center role. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system based company is a plus.Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Performs order status inquiry for all completed orders. Adjusts orders as necessary when damages or shortages occur.* Monitors progress throughout shift to support the completion of daily assignments.* Performs physical counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory verification.* Assist transportation function by directing carrier drivers on empty trailer dropping and load pick-up processes.* Complete bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment, and bar code assignments for each order.* Cross trains and assists with other departments when necessary.* Complies with SOPs, safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures.* Assist Warehouse Supervisor in obtaining maximum efficiency and productivity in warehouse operations.* Review and implement material slotting plans* Work with ABS leaders to help define and implement 5S and lean enhancements* Work along supervisor to support system training of other operators* Position may require sitting for extended periods and/or walking for extended periods in warehouse* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and comfortable with using a computer.* Other duties as necessary.Qualifications include:* More than 2 years of experience in Warehouse operations with strong preference for experience in a similarly regulated business system environment* Must have uncompromising dedication to quality* Must have respect for individuals and the diverse contributions of all* Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated* Must have demonstrated team-oriented, process-oriented, and solution-oriented skills* Strong leadership, communication, coaching and emotional intelligence skills* Good computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and Excel* Previous WMS experience required, JDE preferred* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities may rapidly change* Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs.**Our Culture Drives Value**Atkores culture is created from the disciplined use of the Atkore Business System (ABS), which is a critical part of our mission and a foundational system based on excellence in People, Strategy, and Processes, tied together with Lean Daily Management (LDM) to manage and sustain the business we have today, and Strategy Deployment Process (SDP) to create the business we aspire to become.Having the right talent in the right roles enables successful ABS execution, improves our customers experience, and delivers breakthrough results.
