The Sr. Mobile UX Designer is responsible for understanding Unicity’s business requirements as well as being responsible for conceptualizing and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The Sr. Mobile UX Designer is expected to lead and deliver multiple projects on time and within scope. Sr. Mobile UI/UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience.
The Sr. Mobile UX Designer will report directly to the Head of Digital Product, with close collaboration with the Sr. Product Manager and Tech Lead.

A Sr. Mobile UX Designer at Unicity is both a strategic and execution-based role that works with a high level of ownership over projects. We're looking for someone who:
Has a proven track record of designing successful B2C web and mobile applications and features from scratch – starting at initial research and discovery, through concept design/iteration, to completed product launch and continued improvements.Has at least 6 years of product based UX design experience working on complex desktop, web, and/or mobile software appsHas a portfolio of work demonstrating a high level of expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping/testing, and visual UI design

Responsibilities
Conceptualize and conduct user research, interviews, and surveys. Gather and analyze data to understand user needsDesign navigation flows and prototype new user experiences based on product requirements that are simple and intuitive for iOS and Android mobile platforms (and web)Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experienceDesign and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfacesIdentify design problems and devise solutionsTake a user-centered design approach and test and provide feedback to the development team and design team during the development stagesLead and manage all aspects of projects; collaborate with the Dev team and internal design team, set deadlines, monitor and summarize progress of projects to ensure all deliverables are delivered on time and within scope
Qualifications And Skills
A portfolio that demonstrates your experience leveraging user-centered design5+ years of experience as a UI/UX or Product Design experience (Graphic Design experience is a plus)Experience in designing iOS/Android app experiences from start to finish as a productFamiliarity with iOS and Android app design best practices and guidelines.Strong command of visual design and information architecture with a mind for simplicity and deep knowledge of modern mobile UI/UX patterns while exercising an extraordinary eye for typography, consistency, color, and subtle detailsProficient in software such as FIGMA (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD is a plus)Experience creating Design Systems.Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologiesAbility to understand business metrics and translate them to goals and objectives into digital experiencesStrong problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challengesAbility to multi-task and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to communicate ideas to developers effectively
