Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is a leader in Comprehensive, Therapeutic Support Services for Developmentally Disabled, and Intellectually Challenged, Youth and Adults. Our Behavioral Health Services are strengths-based, culturally competent and individualized. We are looking for a Day Habilitation Program Director for our Northern New Jersey Location.
The Day Habilitation Program Director is responsible for supervision and administration of all functions of the program. With emphasis on managing the daily operations of the assigned facility to ensure that innovative programming and community inclusion opportunities are being developed for all individuals receiving services. Inclusive of consumer’s service planning in a community-based setting, recreational, educational, and cultural community activities among others. This includes creating group, community, and individual activities based on individual need areas.
Primary Responsibilities include:The management of staff through regular supervision meetings.Managing employee relations issues that arise ensuring that disciplinary issues are addressed within the parameters of Neuropath’s Progressive Discipline Policy and in coordination with Human Resources.Act as a liaison between habilitation programs and other departments, external agencies, and family members.Ensure compliance with all regulations and circulars.Responsible for preparations for Day Program Monitoring for all assigned habilitation programs.Direct supervisory responsibility of all staff in the fulfillment of project assignments within budget, with quality and on schedule.Ensure that all program staff are trained in the delivery of programs to individuals receiving services.Ensure that the Day Habilitation Department operates within established budget guidelines.Facilitate ongoing training opportunities for supervisors and staff to assist in developing innovative programming for clients.Provide guidance and direction with staff related issues in conjunction with Human Resources.Cooperate with NJ DDD Licensee and Division staff in any inspection or investigation.Follow all Neuropath and DDD policies, procedures, and guidelines.Develop and monitor yearly budget in conjunction with senior management and finance each year. Maintain appropriate financial records as required.Collaborate with other Case Coordinators to ensure efficient admission and discharges of individuals in the program.Attend and participate in all management meetings, team meetings, and external meetings requested by supervisor, such as quarterly meetings, funding sources, etc.Assure practices are responsive to the outcome recommendations for continuous improvement efforts and performance criteria.Requirements:
Master's Degree.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational skills with a solutions-oriented focus.Strong computer and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.Leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary team activities from among varied segments of the Behavioral Healthcare Service Model, and other Neuropath programs, that facilitate engagement with other program development providers and managers.Knowledge of the behavioral health field; sensitivity and understanding of racial, cultural, economic, gender-specific, and disability/behavioral health issues.Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing, with consumers, all levels of staff, professionals, family members, and other persons in the community.Must work with minimal supervision.Must be able to use good judgment when addressing consumer issues and emergencies.Proficient in word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.The ability to effectively train and orient staff in a clear and concise manner.A dynamic work environment.Competitive Pay.Opportunities for professional growth.Ongoing Job Training.Group Health CoverageAnnual Paid Time OffShort/ Long Term Disability401K*This position is temp to hire.
