Our client seeks a proficient and dedicated
Project Engineer
to join their team at their
Kingman, AZ
facility. As a Project Engineer with our client's division, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation and installation of capital equipment and facilities, ensuring efficiency and excellence across all phases of projects.
Position Summary
This mechanical project engineer will be responsible for providing engineering expertise to support various departments within the organization. From specification and design to procurement and installation, you will contribute to the refinement and optimization of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The role entails a practical application of mechanical engineering principles to assigned project work, with moderate supervision and task definition.
Responsibilities
Recommend, specify, and procure facilities and equipment for project implementation.
Size, calculate, and design facilities and equipment to ensure proper application.
Develop accurate cost estimates and schedules to control costs and ensure timely project completion.
Install and start up equipment, providing field supervision, and following up to complete facilities in a timely manner.
Provide comprehensive project documentation to maintain records and data for future projects.
Lead the deployment of best practice process improvement methodologies across the plant.
Train and lead improvement activities with operators, maintenance personnel, and the engineering department.
Introduce process improvements to maximize output, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Develop new systems to improve workflow.
Other duties may include fixing process defects, promoting and practicing safety and good housekeeping, supervising draftsmen, technicians, or engineers assigned to projects, and traveling to vendor facilities for evaluation.

In addition to the standard office environment, this position involves occasional work at manufacturing facilities and job sites typical of the construction trade. Travel to company facilities and other locations in the United States and Canada is also required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent, required.
3-5 years of experience in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, read, write, talk, and hear. Travel is required up to 50% of the time.
