Director of Career Center

The Director will lead the Career Center in empowering students and recent graduates to integrate and apply their liberal arts education toward succeeding in their career paths and living a meaningful life after Carleton.Founded as a preparatory school in 1866 and reorganized as a college four years later, Carleton College is one of the nation’s most prestigious and successful liberal arts colleges. Livingston, the Director of the Career Center provides the strategic direction behind Carleton’s Career Center offerings and capabilities. Leading a staff of 10, the incoming Director will develop and build upon strategies to achieve measurable goals and outcomes around Career Center student engagement, satisfaction, employment surveys, and staff professional development. In addition, the Director will expand the engagement with alumni and parent volunteers to benefit current students and alumni alike in achieving their career goals. The Director leads the Career Center in engaging a range of constituencies including students, parents, alumni, faculty, prospective and existing employers, and a range of external relationships.
