Job Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on technical leadership to the agile project team tasked with migrating MOVEit jobs to Snowflake.
Design and implement codified and repeatable migration patterns for different complexity Jobs from MOVEit to Snowflake. Extract, transform, and load logic to automate data collection and manage data processes/pipelines including data quality and monitoring
Design and build the migration factory with codified scripts and common plugins for accelerating/automating migration of jobs.
Provide design inputs to improve client implementation of Snowflake
Partner with cross functional stakeholders within and outside the business unit to build integrated solutions that can scale.
Write and review technical documents, including requirements and design documents for existing and future data systems, as well as data standards and policies
Design data pipelines based on business and functional requirements
Guide team on overall mapping and ETL process
Co-ordinate with multiple source systems team to get the required data in file formats and work with Architect to resolve any data issues or dependencies.
Contribute to the development of data frameworks on cloud
Skills and Experience Required:
Required:
10+ years of Data Architecture/Data Warehousing experience
Expert knowledge of Snowflake with more than eight (8) years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
Exposure to Data warehousing and various ingestion patterns from multiple sources.
Good hands-on experience in Snowflake migration projects with good understanding of Snowflake architecture and building pipelines for ingestion
Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using snowpipe, implementing stored procedures and standard DWH and ETL concepts
Expertise in Snowflake concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone, time travel and understand how to use these features
Experience in Data Migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse
Experience with enterprise cloud economics Understanding of enterprise data management concepts (Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing, Data Applications)
Hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics
