). Job Description

The role of the Senior IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior IT Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The Senior IT Project Manager works with the business line / stakeholders to define and refine requirements and help guide the project teams to the right technical solution. The Senior IT Project Manager also has technical knowledge of the environment / platform, coding practices, and software development lifecycle to assist with design, development and quality assurance aspects of a project.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Engage with external vendors to establish SOW agreements and manage vendor deliverables. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, and document lessons learned. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. Providing architectural guidance and drive infrastructure decisions in collaboration with other technical and management stakeholders. Assist with System Requirement Specifications, System Design Documentation and Test Planning. Qualifications

Required

Skills/Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. 7+ years of project management, business process and software engineering experience. Working technical knowledge of Windows, Internet Information Server, and SQL Server. Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.

Demonstrated experience in personnel management. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Technically competent with various software programs, such as Visio, Microsoft Office, and ability to understand technical tools such as Visual Studio, and SourceSafe. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with leading the development of Data Warehouse, Data Marts, ETL, and Business Intelligence solutions. Working knowledge of object oriented programming languages, including C# and the .Net Framework. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Self-directed and proactive; thinks beyond the immediate problem. Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks. Work directly with both internal and external resources to insure timely completion of assigned deliverables. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. : Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Graduate Degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience with Web Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Sitefinity and Sitecore.
