Position:The Associate Director works directly with the Stein Center Director and Feerick Center Executive Director on initiatives involving ethics, access to justice, pro bono, social and racial justice, and public interest practice.Responsibilities:Lead the Feerick Center’s Immigrant Justice ProjectHelp to administer and coordinate the Centers’ programs including organizing and overseeing conferences, CLE programs, awards receptions and colloquiaHelp to manage the day-to-day activities and overall administrative operations of the Centers, including budgetsOversee the communications strategy and work products for the Centers, including social media. Develop and prepare written materials on the Centers and maintain the Centers’ websites, annual reports and other publications, including regular e-newslettersOversee the Centers’ alumni affairs and play a key role in Feerick Center’s development effortsReport directly to the Executive Director of the Feerick Center for Social Justice.With regard to the Feerick CenterServe as the principal senior staff member responsible for grants management, including grant writing and grant reportingEstablish, direct, and or help support other Feerick Center social justice initiatives, as necessarySpearhead community engagement efforts to ensure community- and client-centered programming in connection with the Feerick Center’s immigration and other initiativesOrganize training programs with a focus on cultural humility and diversity, equity, and inclusionDevelop Know-Your-Rights and outreach materialsMaintain accurate and robust data collection and tracking systems and integrate program operations into Feerick Center case management systemsQualifications:A J.D.Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a lawyer, with significant experience providing immigration services in a non-profit civil legal services settingAdmitted or eligible for admission to the bar of the State of New YorkA commitment to race equity and anti-racism in the workplace and in the provision of civil legal servicesA demonstrated passion for enhancing access to justice, especially in the immigration fieldExtensive experience with pro bono and volunteer managementDemonstrated analytical, legal writing, and advocacy skillsStrong interpersonal skills and team player with ability to work in a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environmentSelf-motivated worker with strong initiative, ability to work independently, with superior judgmentExceptional organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.Exceptional attention to detailProficiency in Spanish essential; fluency in Spanish and English preferredCommitment to the Stein Center and Feerick Center’s missions
