Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible, in coordination with the Sr. Administrators, Network Sr. Administrator, and O365 Suite Sr. Administrators, for the daily operations of all company system components.
This role is responsible for monitoring system components, verifying functionality, managing user administration, and working closely with end users to identify and troubleshoot issues and educate on system usage. The Systems Administrator maintains system configuration and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:Updates and maintains documentation as it relates to systems component connectivity, system flow, and configuration.Develop, implement, and maintain user guides for end users.Create, update, and terminate user accounts, points of contact, addresses and mailboxes.Assist end users with technology troubleshooting.Assist leadership teams with dashboard and report management.Work with Sr. Administrators to manage new and existing equipment configuration, backups, and hardware/software upgrades.Assist with security audits.Maintains network and servers to ensure there is little, to no, unscheduled down time.Provides strong and effective data security, configure firewalls, and restricts file permissions.Provides hardware and software troubleshooting for the Local/Wide Area Network.Research application and hardware problems.Monitor system and application performance.Protects the company's systems against outside attacks from networks and viruses.Evaluates hardware and software requirements and capabilities, submits Change Request, and performs updates.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years’ experience working with any of the following technologies:
Good knowledge of Windows computers and software troubleshooting.O365 products.Network/system monitoring software.Basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
Windows Server Administration experience.Experience with AWS or Azure in a migration project.Active Directory experience.Hyper-V experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Basic knowledge of network hardware connectivity.Ability to read and interpret network connectivity analytical tools.Experience with cloud phone systems is preferred.Experience with Exchange server, Exchange Online and Office 365.Experience with Active Directory.Experience with Firewalls.Experience with enterprise web security solutions and appliances.Experience with enterprise backup products.Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware.Experience with desktop and server encryption.
Licenses or Certification:
Associate level certifications in networking, MS products, Azure, AWS, and enterprise VoIP solutions are a plus.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred Education:
Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
