Darigold B2B business, with a priority focus on growing Private Label butter packaged goods, has an exciting opportunity for an accomplished National Sales Manager to create sustainable value for our century-old farmer-owned company.

The National Accounts Manager

This would be responsible for the management of existing and new Private Label butter accounts. They would be the primary sales contact and would also be involved in the expansion of our private-label packaged butter business through sustainable and profitable volume growth, share, and market expansion, margin enhancement, cost reductions, building strategic partnerships with new & existing customers through executional excellence of business fundamentals to include, but not limited to; distribution, logistics, RFP management, merchandising, pricing, promotion management, sales planning, and volume forecasting.

As a member of the B2B Sales team, reporting to a Senior Director of Sales, this role will require analytical agility, customer savvy, and business systems acumen to maximize total enterprise value with customers across the butter portfolio and its product offerings including raw milk as an input, market conditions and futures insight related to the CME, ingredient costs with service and growth in the private label packaged butter area as the priority. This role will need to be able to manage complex customer relationships and must be able to partner internally and externally with brokers, distributors, supply chain, and logistic teams to implement sales targets and initiatives, customer execution, productivity initiatives, and service improvements. Additionally, this role must be experienced in handling and cultivating new business opportunities as well as complex contract negotiations, RFP and bid cycle proposals related to Private Label packaged butter.

To be successful this role should have demonstrated experience at the following:

Creating sustainable success in driving year-over-year growth in volume, margin, and share.Execute a repeatable and predictable sales methodology supporting market share, customer growth, service and fill rate expectations.Manage strategic account planning with significant national and multinational accounts that drives success across the butter portfolio and business relationship types (ie Retail and Food Service).Successfully execute within a transformational environment that requires resourcefulness and grit.

What You Will Do

Delivering B2B products AOP objectives and initiatives to include but not limited to volume and customer expansion, net sales, margin over milk, customer service, fill rate, and retention metrics.Synthesize market indicators, category, competitive, and company insights into executable sales plans and tactics that drive enterprise and customer value in the form of volume growth, margin over milk, and market share expansion.Manage strategic account relationships that elevate above transactional pricing and trade, leveraging all the assets and value provided by the Darigold enterprise to include quality farmers, quality products, efficient customer service, innovative new products, and efficient customer marketing.Provide strategic direction to Customer Business Partner and Sales Analysts to support new and existing customer execution, customer replenishment and forecast management.Direct and frequent communication with customer buying teams and broker agents across the following:Sales and Demand planningExecution managementCustomer onboardingNational and regional expansionIdentify order fulfillment, logistics, invoicing accuracy, and other service efficiencies using internal and external customer-specific performance reporting and analytics tools.Collaborate cross-functionally to create a seamless integration of customer and Darigold’s processes and systems.Own internal and external reporting and analysisMarket trend and futures guidanceNew item trackersHoliday & promotional planningAnnual Operating Plan (AOP) initiatives and R&O (risk and opportunities) updatesRepresentation in internal meetings as assigned:Weekly Cross FunctionalITP / IBPWin Room’sOther duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Education And Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in consumer products sales and account management, with some experience in logistics, customer service, and or marketing and promotion management.Bachelor’s degree required (Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Marketing preferred).Dairy food and beverage industry experience preferred.
