You are an excellent communicator who enjoys working with teachers, administration and other school staff. You are passionate about developing students' oral communication skills to support their ability to access their educational program.What You'll DoProvide direct treatment to students with speech-language impairmentsDevelop and implement educationally-based Individualized Education Program (IEP) communication goals using a variety of service delivery models to support the classroom curriculumConduct speech and language screeningsFollow and implement treatment plansDocument student progress towards meeting established goals and objectivesConduct formal assessmentsParticipate in IEP meetings of students on assigned caseloadCollaborate with teachers to ensure that students meet the goals outlined in their IEPsProvide individualized classroom strategies to facilitate specific communication skillsCommunicate with families of students on assigned caseload regarding progress toward IEP goalsParticipate as a member of the regional Special Education teamManage special projects as they relate to Special Education.Qualifications

You'll Be Qualified If You HaveMaster’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university is

requiredValid California Speech-Language Pathologist license/credential is

requiredCertificate of Clinical Competency is

preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience working with students in a school setting is preferredDemonstrated results working with studentsKnowledge of IEP present levels and goal-writingAdditional Information
