Due to the ongoing success of this initiative, we are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Consultant to join our dedicated team in evaluating the sustainability and resilience of energy generation projects and opportunities.

Position Overview:As a dynamic and skilled Sustainability & Resilience practitioner in our Environmental Solution team, you will leverage your energy sector experience to provide informed advice relating to high-stakes energy transaction opportunities. Your deep knowledge and understanding of net zero initiatives and sustainable development goals will enable you to provide insightful sustainability analyses, resilience reviews and environmental insights, playing a pivotal role in shaping energy system investments and initiatives that align with sustainability objectives.

As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate the environmental aspects of complex transactions, assess risks, and develop strategies for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive environmental due diligence assessments for a variety of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and property transactions.

Identify potential environmental liabilities and risks associated with target properties, assets, and operations.

Prepare clear and concise due diligence reports, summarising findings and providing actionable recommendations to clients.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into transaction advisory services.

Provide expert guidance to clients on sustainability and resilience strategies, helping them enhance their environmental performance and meet regulatory requirements.

Develop and implement innovative solutions to support clients' environmental and sustainability goals.

Stay up-to-date with UK environmental regulations, policies, and trends, and apply this knowledge to client projects.

Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings, present recommendations, and address inquiries.

Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on Transaction Advisory, Due Diligence, and Sustainability & Resilience projects. Strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and permitting processes. Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and establish effective relationships with clients. Professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Scientist) are a plus. Proficiency in relevant software tools and databases.
