CNC Mill Operator

Strom Minnesota is currently looking for a CNC Mill Operator for our client in New Hope, MN. This is a 1st shift opportunity, 6:am-4:30pm M-TH.

Mill Machinist Level 3

Job Overview: Run production on CNC machines, monitor fluid levels in machines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Operate multiple machines to complete machining of parts to printPerform in-process inspections and document results as requiredRemove rust, burrs or sharp edges as requiredMonitor and maintain clean and safe levels of fluid in machinesPerform daily machine and work area cleaningConduct proper machine startup and shutdownsGood working knowledge of basic and repeat set-upsPrepare and maintain tooling for set-ups and teardownsInstall and change tooling as neededPerform mechanical and CNC offsets and adjustmentsRecommend process improvements

Perform basic CMM inspections as needed

Continually evaluate processes for improvementsAdhere to all departmental and company procedures and policiesPractice and support current ISO procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Stand continuously with occasional walking and sittingPerform wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing, pulling, lifting heavy objects (up to 30 lbs) and bendingWork with oil and coolants contacting the skinFollow verbal or written instructions in EnglishComplete assigned tasks in timely mannerRead and interpret prints/drawingsProficient use of inspection equipment
