The Commercial Sales team is a new business team focused on the acquisition, growth and retention of mid-market customers of a rapidly growing subscription service. As an Account Executive on the Commercial sales team, you’ll identify opportunities for new or existing customers to get the most out of their Drug Hunter licenses, execute scaled sales strategies to grow revenue in your territory/region/vertical and drive end-to-end sales process to increase adoption of Drug Hunter’s offering.This is a unique opportunity to work with research and development institutions and libraries to sell and support strongly adopted products, with significant growth opportunities. Experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry is a bonus.This is a full-time, fully remote position based in the United States, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, adjusting to global time zones as needed. Up to 10%-20% flexible travel to major conferences and events may be required. Together, we will help scientists create better products for society by saving them time, keeping them up-to-date, and helping them teach others.What you'll do:As an Account Executive, you will play an instrumental role in fueling Drug Hunter’s growth through acquiring, growing and expanding unsaturated mid-market accounts. In this role, you will help build out a new team and GTM motion at Drug Hunter.Responsibilities:Identify high-potential prospective users and use effective prospecting strategies to generate leads that drive revenue growth in your territory/region/verticalBuild relationships within mid-sized and large organizations, understanding their structure to effectively connect with stakeholders, generate pipeline, build champions, get buy-in and close deals with C-Level and VP-level decision-makersDevelop and implement scaled sales strategies for acquiring new customers and driving product adoption, net new product sales, and client retention at scaleIdentify and understand users’ pain points to propose Drug Hunter’s solutions and own the full sales cycle, from business case development to closeOwn contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to increase and retain existing customer revenue and Drug Hunter market shareExpand revenue within your book of business (up-sell, cross-sell)Develop customer champions to expand usage within new teams and departmentsWork cross-functionally to solve user pain points and improve our productExperiment with new processes and revenue streams that scale across Drug Hunter globallyRequirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferredMinimum of 3+ years full sales cycle/closing experienceAbility to understand technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple personasStrong operational acumen and ability to manage high volumes and high-velocity workAbility and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environmentSuperior verbal and written communication skillsCRM experience, Hubspot preferredSales Methodology trained - Sandler, Challenger, Spin, MEDDIC or othersPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a sales role at a high-growth company, preferably within technology/SaaSCompensation:Competitive with the market, with a 50/50 base/commissions split.
