Triton Air Vehicle Director 1.

This position will report to the Director of Vehicle Engineering for the Aeronautics Sector

The

Triton Air Vehicle Director 1

will support the management of the US Navy and Royal Australian Air Force Triton Air Vehicle for developmental, production, sustainment, and international programs. This Triton Air Vehicle Program Director is accountable to the Triton Program Director (assignment) and engage with all Portfolio Program Managers to support the full Triton life cycle. The Triton Air Vehicle Director will functionally report to the Vehicle Engineering National Director.

The role includes responsibilities for design, integration and testing of major subsystems, such as propulsion, electrical power, environmental cooling, as well as being responsible for fabrication, test, and delivery of major structural components of the Triton Air Vehicle including the wing, v-tail, aft fuselage, fairings and radomes. The Air Vehicle team also supports flight test and ongoing production of Triton air vehicles. Additional support will be required to ensure sustaining engineering services are adequately met for those designs and products.

Responsibilities will include taking direction from the Program Director and Chief Engineer to give both technical and managerial direction to the subordinate engineering and manufacturing staff. The position will hold Delegation of Authority responsibility for program planning and performance. This will include addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of all air vehicle work packages.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 14 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in STEM and 12 years of relevant experience OR a Ph.D in STEM discipline and 9 years of relevant experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of aircraft systems.

5 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.

3 years providing technical leadership of an engineering team

Minimum of 1 year of experience using earned value management systems.

Active DOD Secret

Ability to obtain special access program clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

MS Degree in Engineering or Management

Prior experience in Program Management or Engineering leadership experience on a large Naval Aviation programs

Knowledge of NAVAIR processes and requirements.

Unmanned air vehicle experience

Prior experience leading the planning, scheduling, and execution of enterprise-level Operations, Sustainment, or Information Systems Services activities.

Familiar with technical data development and sustainment processes

Experience building relationships with strategic customers.

Experience developing sourcing strategies; to include soliciting/analyzing requests for proposals, negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans.

Salary Range:

$209,600 - $314,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
