Manager of Financial Reporting

Global Insurance company is searching for a Manager of Financial Reporting to join their team.The Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for supporting the timely preparation and delivery of both U.S. GAAP financial reporting and Bermuda statutory reporting.Primary Responsibilities:Coordinates U.S. GAAP and Bermuda statutory reporting to ensure the timely, accurate completion of financial reports for all required filingsProvides financial analysis and reporting to management on a quarterly, monthly and annual basisStays abreast of financial reporting and regulatory developments which can impact the company and ensures compliance with all regulationsSupport oversight of the functionality of financial reporting systems and applicationsPrepares and leads team in establishing, modifying, documenting, and implementing reporting processes and control proceduresManages associates within the function including completion of assigned duties and reporting responsibilities, coaching, objective setting, feedback, appraisals and development planningIdentify potential areas of process improvement and lead implementation of improvements while working effectively with peers and stakeholders. Update process documentation annually for changesIdentify and address the reporting implications of new transactions and systems implementations on a timely basisPerforms advanced problem solving and complex analysisOrganizes and manages projects to completionLead internal and external audits, including SOX controlsQualifications:Bachelor Degree in AccountingCPA Certification strongly preferred7+ years related experience required, preferably in the insurance industry and/or large public accounting firmManagerial experience requiredExperience with Workday is a plusExcellent communication skillsThis company offers a hybrid work schedule (1 day in the office), opportunities for advancement as well as a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation plan.For immediate consideration, please submit your resume to Joanmarie Bolding, Managing Director of Recruiting at jmb@stafffinancial.com
