This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Long Beach, CA headquarters.Your Mission on the Team:Radio transceiver analog front end designDevelop antenna, receiver, exciter, and transmitter subsystemsDevelop a complex electronic control system to control digital, analog, and RF signalsDesign and simulate discrete RF electronic circuits; select components; perform schematic design; layout and prototype PCBs; assemble, debug, and bench/field test prototypesPerform performance and cost tradeoff analysis; test/evaluate new components & technologiesContribute to all phases of development life cycle (requirements, systems and circuit design, integration of RF and wireless circuits and systems, testing, and manufacturing activities)Qualifications:Master’s degree, preferably a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProficiency using SPICE or Microwave Office for analog circuit design and simulationSchematic capture and PCB layout using EDA tools from Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, etc.RF/Analog circuit design experience. Familiarity with RF concepts and RF design considerationsExpertise in RF front end design and integration of RF subsystemsAbility to generate specifications and perform system design and analysisExpertise in programming test equipment using languages like C++ and LabVIEWAbility to perform bench-level analog/power bring-up and troubleshooting using analog and digital test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal generatorsHands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex RF subsystemsIdeal Qualifications:Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processesExperience with FPGA development and firmware developmentExperience using HFSS, CST, ADS, Clarity, or similar RF simulation toolsExperience designing, manufacturing, and testing space flight hardwareFamiliarity with antenna designSalary Range: $130,000.00 to $175,000.00The base salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and influenced by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and scope of the position.ITAR RequirementsSpinLaunch is required by the U.S. Government to comply with various space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
