Business Analyst

offices, and may be filled in a remote capacity.The Business Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager - Process Improvement & Automation. Main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting as-is and to-be processes and requirements, define scope and objectives, assist designing systems to align with overall business strategies, performing user acceptance testing. The Business Analyst candidate should be skilled at asking probing questions for clarity and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical audiences. Essential job functions include:Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; write specifications.Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement.Attend daily stand-ups coordinating sprint tasks in Agile planning tools.Learn and expand knowledge of legal practice-specific processes and procedures.Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members, leadership, and firm clients.Lead and ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, elements, and forming project team.Monitor project progress through activity tracking; resolving problems; publish progress reports; recommending actions.Maintain user confidence and project operations by keeping information confidential.Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes.Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.Perform user acceptance testing.Other duties as coordinated or assigned from time to time by the Senior Manager - Process Improvement & Automation, CIO, or other department management personnel.

Position Requirements4-year degree with major course work in related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.Trade training preferred; A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field required.Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.Advanced technical skills.Excellent documentation skills.Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.Competency in Microsoft applications including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.A history of leading and supporting successful projectsExperience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.Ability to work independently with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to upper management.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSEmployees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience.

The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

The expected compensation ranges for this position in Denver, CO is as follows:State of Colorado: $75,000 - $134,000The above salary range does not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
