Opportunity for an in-house Speech Language Pathologist to join the rehab department.
Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate Residents conditions for swallowing and/or cognitive deficits
Help Residents in their goals to improve Cognition and/or Swallowing
Education for Residents and Caregivers
Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
Maintain Resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential
Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
Contributes to team effort and interdisciplinary approach
Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
Perform Daily Documentation and Billing
Requirements and Skills:
Proven working experience as an SLP
Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Therapy
Hands-on experience with computer programs
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
Professional behavior
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Valid license to practice as Speech Language Pathologist
