Description
SAGE Dining Services is seeking a Systems Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining our hybrid Microsoft infrastructure hosted on AWS, managing backups using Veeam, and overseeing our Email infrastructure.
This role requires a deep understanding of integrated systems and a proactive approach to system management to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
SAGE's home office is in Lutherville, MD, but this position is fully remote. Candidates must live in the United States and must be authorized to work in the United States and will be employees of SAGE. This is not a 1099 position. In addition, the person taking this position will be required to travel to the SAGE Home office each quarter.

What You'll Do
Maintain and optimize our hybrid Microsoft infrastructure hosted in AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.Manage and configure backups ensuring data integrity and availability for disaster recovery.Oversee our Email infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and security.Manage Office 365 environments, including setup, administration, and troubleshooting to support our workforce.Collaborate with IT team members on various projects, providing expertise in system design, deployment, and maintenance.Assist the Service Desk with escalated tickets and provide general assistance with troubleshooting when required, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues.Keep abreast of the latest Microsoft best practices.
What You'll Need
Proven experience managing devices via Intune (Endpoint Management).Hands-on experience with Hybrid Entra ID/Azure AD Deployments and managing Office 365 environments, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, & 365 Defender.Minimum of 5 years of production experience.Proven experience with Windows Server 2016 and later versions.Proficiency in managing backups utilizing Veeam or equivalent backup software.Strong skills in writing PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and manage systems.Experience in managing Email infrastructures with both Exchange Online and on-premises solutions.Experience with AWS environment, including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.Good understanding and broad experience with Linux systems are a plus.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Ansible and Terraform, are a significant plus.Experience working collaboratively with Service Desk teams.
