Summary

Croda is seeking a Customer Service Representative that will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and support for the sales/order department for Croda North America. You will be primarily responsible for the order placement and fulfilment processes of a large customer base.

KEY DUTIES:

ORDER MANAGEMENT

• Process customer orders

• Effectively and promptly communicate import and production scheduling with production, logistics, and Import teams as necessary to meet customer requirements.

• Communicate delivery schedules with customers and promptly notify of changes.

• Monitor and communicate order shipment progress.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT

• Handle customer inquiries & special requests

• Assist with providing pricing quotes, expedite sample requests, production information, spec sheets, MSDS's, C of A's & proof of deliveries

• Work closely with traffic to arrange truck shipments

• Enter & maintain customer complaint tasks

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

• Communicate customer forecasts to sales, production & imports

• Escalate issues to management

• Provide sales leads and cancelled order information to Sales

• Provide appropriate information to Sales for new account setups.

• Properly maintain OTIF information as required.

Perform all duties within the Company's SHE regulations. All other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education & Training:

• High School Graduate required. Associate Degree preferred.Experience:

Knowledge & Experience:

• 2-3 years of customer service experience. Chemical background preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

o Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.

o Ability to communicate confidently and effectively both on the telephone and in writing.

• COMPUTER SKILLS:

o Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel).

o Competent in SAP/relevant IT business systems.

• OTHER SKILLS:

o Self-motivated.

o Able to meet deadlines.

o Flexibility.

o Attention to detail.Willingness to learn and desire to grow with the organization.Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work well within a team.Competence in general business dealings with strong mathematical skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to walk, stand or sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Must be able to travel by car and airplane; lift 30 lbs.
