Compensation: Part-Time/Hourly Position; $18.00 to $19.50 per hour, 20 to 29 hours per week

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

JCYC College Access Programs connect historically underserved youth with comprehensive and culturally competent college access services. By partnering with local public schools throughout San Francisco and Daly City, JCYC College Access Programs can serve income-qualified students, many of whom will be the first in their families to attend college. The JCYC College Access Programs consists of five federal TRiO grants and one Cal-SOAP grant. For more information, visit www.jcyccollegeaccess.org.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Office Assistant will report directly to the Program Coordinator and work closely with other Office Assistant(s), Database Coordinator, and Educational Advisors. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative (in-person):

Organize, maintain, and update program participant files.Assist in reviewing program participant files for accuracy.Assist Program Coordinator and other Office Assistant(s) with clerical and office duties as needed.Assist Directors and Coordinators in calendaring tasks & deadlines, preparing correspondence/documents, and coordinating meetings.Manage the office, including answering phones/emails, organizing office supplies, and other clerical/office duties.Assist Educational Advisors in gathering student file materials, and entering and organizing data.Assist with small projects such as updating the website, collecting student data, etc.,Attend monthly department meetings and department and/or Agency training/discussions as they arise.Computer Literate; Proficient in MS Word and Excel; Knowledgeable of using PowerPoint, Zoom, and Google Applications.Desired Qualifications:

Education: Minimum AA degree OR currently enrolled in and seeking BA/BS degreeMinimum 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience requiredPrefer individuals similar to the target population (low-income and first in their families to attend college)Candidate must display strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skillsMust be detail-oriented, flexible, and can work effectively in a team setting
