DESCRIPTION OF SERVICESTexas Workforce Commission (TWC) requires the services of

four (4) Appian Developer/Programmer Analyst

, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meet the general qualifications of

ITSAC Developer/Programmer Analyst, Level 3

and the specifications outlined in this document for TWC. This position will perform advanced automated Appian systems development work in support of TWC's IT Rapid Application Development (RAD) Team. Duties include independent design and implementation of various Appian based workforce application systems. The Worker(s) will:Contribute to the implementation of the software development lifecycle activities from development and testing to implementation and support activities per project requirementsDesign, implement, validate, and deploy new applications using the latest Appian technologyDevelop user interfaces, process models and data storage in the low code Appian environmentDevelop code, create artifacts like test specifications, perform testing and implement relevant go live activitiesAnalyze project requirements and the environment to ensure solutions consider current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancementsWork within the Agile framework to conduct impact analysis and prepare technical user stories required for developmentUse standardized project management processes, tools, and techniques to address project needsAssists with creating, maintaining, and enforcing global standardsPerform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support RAD team projectsManage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of Appian by engineering reliability into software and systemsMentor junior Appian developersDevelop the internal Appian development best practices and design guideEnsure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSWorker should be qualified to serve as a

8 Experience as a developer/programmer or a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or analytical field and five years of experience as a developer/programmer 8 Experience developing in a low code platform that includes an Appian Senior Developer Certification and recent hands-on experience in design and implementation of Appian applications 5 Experience with Appian components including Process Models, SAIL Forms, CDTs, records, reports, and integration 5 Experience with REST Web API development and API integration software such as MuleSoft 5 Experience with Cloud-based technologies such as AWS 5 Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, practices and techniques of application programming and software design 5 Experience in building Appian CDTs and application integration with databases, including Oracle 11g, DB2, or MySQL 5 Skill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs; and in troubleshooting computer software systems 3 Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, Axure or Photoshop 3 Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) - Octane (Or earlier version ALM) 3 Strong written and verbal communication skills to serve as a technical consultant to peers, clearly and accurately document relevant issues, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable reports
