IDS is seeking experienced Mission Guards to provide protection to client, such as conducting advances of the client's movements and drive vehicles as required by the close protection plan. A Top-Secret security clearance is required for the role.
This position is a 2-year contract and is located outside of the continental United States (OCONUS).
Active Top Secret Clearance required.
Guards staff static posts throughout the Embassy compound. While standing posts guard will conduct access control and screening the procedures, vehicular inspections, and roving patrols.
The Guard(s) shall possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent with two years' experience in the military, police, or commercial guard. All guards shall be required to perform all or part of the responsibilities set forth below:
Knowledge and Skills: The Guards shall have the following knowledge and skills:
Able to use a computer including all common office management tools (e/g/ Microsoft Office);
Performing security duties at fixed, or roving patrols posts;
Providing assistance to local authorities in thwarting criminal and terrorist acts;
Performing access control duties to limit entry to authorized personnel or visitors;
Operating of walk-through metal detectors, hand-help metal detectors, X-ray inspection machines, electronic hydraulic barriers, itemizers, and special monitoring devices; and
Completing written operational and administrative logs.
Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
