Drivers should be courteous, friendly and be able to deliver excellent customer service to passengers. Drivers must assist passengers getting in and out of the vehicle, and load and unload passengers in wheelchairs. Drivers must transport passengers to and from their destinations in a safe manner
ResponsibilitiesDrivers must perform; a pre-trip vehicle inspection on all vehicles assigned for the shift; perform a pre-trip inspection on all equipment such as wheelchair tie-down equipment, vehicle hydraulic wheelchair lift, and others.Ensure all safety regulations and precautions are followed as required by Federal safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.Communicate with the local management team, passengers, company dispatch regarding operational issues or concerns.Prepare and submit daily driver's log(s) and vehicle inspection report(s) at the end of their shift.Education & Training
High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.A valid Class D Driver's License (non-commercial) is required.A valid CPR/First Aid card is required.The company will provide CPR/First Aid training certification.Must submit a Driving History report printout with application, driving record must be current and valid no more than (30) days from the date of the application.Knowledge and Experience
Must have at least one year of experience working with the elderly.Must have a driver's license for at least five (5) years.No more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) 'at fault' accident in the last three (3) years.Applicants must be familiar with using mobile phones, a GPS/Navigation app in a mobile phone, and familiarity with the general Pinellas County area.Core Competencies
