Job Description:The Solutions Architect will design, deploy, and integrate systems for the new ERP environment. The solutions architect is responsible for assisting the Enterprise Architect and Project leadership in identification and selection of appropriate integration and support services based on requirements and constraints, will have deep subject matter expertise, and can evaluate new technologies for fit in current infrastructure architecture.
Joining the team at the project's inception, the SA will work with the business customers, IT support and system integrators to ensure the creation a scalable, reliable modular, fit-for-purpose system. The SA is responsible for aligning business vision with information technology, by contributing to the strategy and overall vision for ERP application(s) and components. This role will develop and maintain the high-level design for ERP architecture and communicate that plan to others within the organization. The ERP SA must map, define, and standardize technology, data, and business processes for a sustainable, long-term technology roadmap. This position requires a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the County's ERP project plan.Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to project leadership, systems analysts, IT engineers, and project support staff.Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, data mapping, and technical system diagrams.Identifying integrated systems (data sources and consumers), both internal and external, and planning integration and data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy.Visualize and creates a framework for ERP data management that aligns with enterprise data strategy and existing business architecture.Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to ensure successful integration with existing systems and applications.Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceExcellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, and storage.Information and application security concepts including public key encryption, remote access, access credentials, and certificate-based authenticatiExperience working with customer and multiple vendors to develop and implement an integrated enterprise-grade ERP solution.Understanding of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and SQL/Non-SQL databases.Hands-on experience with core LAN/WAN network technologies.Experience with ERP software like Oracle Fusion ERP (HR, CRM, Cust Svc, Financials, Asset Mgt), Workday (Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting) or SAP ERPExperience in integrations across the enterprise (BMC, SAP, payment vendors such as Paymentus and MSB, benefit vendors & ADP)Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, JSONFamiliarity with the software development lifecycleWork experience with information and application security concepts, mechanisms, and tools.Familiarity with loose coupling and stateless systems.Proficient in ERP configuration, custom report development, and integration.In-depth knowledge of integration technologies and standards such as web services (REST, SOAP), XML, and JSON
