Tendeg LLC is a premier spacecraft deployables company. Our novel designs are enabling exciting missions providing high gain antennas for sensor applications and communications. We have 12 antennas on-orbit and 20 flight deliverables occurring in 2024. Our missions include Earth Science (weather, surface deformation and change); LEO, GEO and lunar communications; synthetic aperture radar (SAR); and unique radio frequency sensors for commercial and government applications. About the role: We are looking an Embedded Software Engineer that will support one of the following programs:
INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security missions.What you'll do:
Daily work includes designing, implementing, and testing of embedded software components to interface and control various peripherals such as motors, encoders, heaters, and sensorsCreation of technical documentation throughout the development process including software interface control documents (ICDs) and customer facing presentationsSupport problem resolution throughout all phases of the program (functional and system integration and test)Development work is executed in a team environment spanning multiple programsDaily collaboration with other engineering disciplines, project, production, and program management to ensure milestones are on targetPerforms other related duties as assignedKey job requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education2 to 5 years of experience developing software for embedded systems, including the following skillsAbility to program in multiple environments, languages, and operating systems.Working on multi-disciplinary design and development teamsDocumenting software and presenting capabilities in design reviewsTesting, troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing defects in software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzersExperience with formal software development practices including the use of software configuration management, coding standards, and style guidesBenefits:
