Office Manager

at Goodwin University to support its middle level grades. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Interested candidates must submit their credentials and apply to LEARN at www.learn.k12.ct.us The salary for this position ranges from $38,000 - $45,000.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain positive and helpful interaction with the public and establish good rapport with staff.Manage office phone calls, door system and support the main office as needed.Assist in the new student registration process, works closely with the main building office manager.Support and/or coordinate the scheduling of special education/PPT, 504 meetings and the associated paperwork, electronic records, timelines, and correspondence.Develop and maintain knowledge of special education and school/department systems/logistics.Act as the point of contact for case managers, special educators, and related service providers with regards to record keeping and reports.Handles confidential information with complete security.Maintains accurate records and data for students consistent with the requirements of the Custodian of Records.Maintain awareness and knowledge of all aspects of CTRA Middle Grades Program and be able to act as a contact person in the absence of the Main Office Office Manager.Supports main office front desk operations as needed.Communicates with staff, districts, outside agencies, RESCs, and other partners.Provides support for programs or parts of programs as needed.Uses a variety of technologies in program administration as well as related to teaching and learning.Other duties as assigned by the the building Administrators and Student Support Services administrators.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and TRAINING

Associate's Degree (preferred)2-3 years of clerical, secretarial or office experienceStrong verbal and written communicationAttention to detailSelf-drivenHas demonstrated ability to handle and take charge with respect to needs of the schoolDemonstrated ability to independently handle assignmentsAble to balance work responsibilities to accommodate changing needs and prioritiesExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowledge of computers and software applications including PowerschoolDemonstration of sound professional, ethical behaviorThis position will remain open until a qualified candidate accepts an offer of employment.
