POSITION SUMMARY:Speech Language Pathologist provides services to students with language and/or speech impairments in accordance with corporation policy and state and federal special education mandatory laws.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Building AdministratorDirector of Special Education
DUTIES:Provide direct and/or consult services to students with speech and/or language impairmentsConduct speech, language and hearing screenings and evaluations within mandated timelines and in accordance with state law and corporation proceduresDevelop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP's)Collect Data on student progress toward goals/objectivesProvide Quarterly progress reports on students on the caseloadComplete ISTAR/KR or collaborate on the completion of ISTAR on students who require this assessmentMaintain records/enter information for Medicaid reimbursementConsult with school staff and administrators regarding individual student needsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Required experience or training:
Master's degree and Indiana License from the Division of Professional Standards in Communication DisordersD esired experience or training:
Certificate of Clinical CompetenceWillingness to supervise SLPA, if neededApplicant must not have had a recommendation for Probation Assistance on his/her most recent evaluationExperience with various disabilities and language/speech disorders preferred
Works in standard office and school building environments. Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours. Must be able to handle stress.
