As an RN at Woodland Job Corps, your primary role will be to provide both preventative and emergency health services, as well as wellness education to the students. It is your responsibility to make sure that sensitive information is kept confidential and that you comply with all HIPAA laws. You will play a crucial part in creating a safe and supportive environment for our students by providing compassionate and high-quality healthcare services. Your main goal is to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our diverse student population. RESPONSIBILITIES+ Integrity and Data Management:+ Adheres to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring the ethical handling of student data with no manipulation.+ Supervision and Management:+ Assists in the supervision and management of the Wellness Department and its staff.+ Community Engagement:+ Establishes and maintains Memorandums of Understandings with local hospitals and wellness-related community resources.+ Reporting and Compliance:+ Compiles and submits all required reports and plans per DOL/Corporate policy as directed.+ Staff Coverage:+ Ensures adequate staff coverage to meet the needs and requirements of the diverse student population.+ Budget Oversight:+ Manages the wellness budget in collaboration with the Wellness Director, identifying and securing cost-saving measures.+ Community Liaison:+ Acts as the Center liaison with local agencies, coordinating health services, environmental health inspections, and addressing health-related issues.+ Student Health Management:+ Evaluates student health issues and concerns, making appropriate referrals.+ Guideline Maintenance:+ Maintains and revises current health care guidelines to ensure the delivery of quality and effective wellness services to students.+ Chronic Condition Programs:+ Coordinates and oversees chronic condition case management programs.+ Medication Administration:+ Ensures compliance with local and federal guidelines for the administration of medications and maintenance of medical records.+ Inventory Management:+ Ensures adequate inventory of medical equipment and supplies.+ Incident Reporting:+ Works with the Safety and Security Department to complete and submit required Significant Incident Reports.+ Regulatory Compliance:+ Ensures compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and medical record maintenance.+ Medical Separation Process:+ Proactively manages the Center’s medical separation process, providing necessary medical services and referrals for students to ensure their return and completion of the Job Corps program.+ Committee Participation:+ Participates actively in the Center’s HEALs Committee, potentially serving as the chairperson.+ Staff Development:+ Makes recommendations for staff vacancies, motivates staff, and holds them accountable for quality work.+ Training and Mentoring:+ Provides required/supplemental training for new and current employees, mentoring, monitoring, and modeling the Career Success Standards as mandated by the PRH. Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center is located. Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required.
