Job DescriptionResponsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during shift. House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions during the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer. Must have skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate competence in the care of the age and type of patient population served.Qualifications & SkillsCurrent California RN license with Nursing degree from accredited school, ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications required and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred. Must have experience as a staff nurse with management responsibilities, and ER experience preferred. Good oral and written communication skills required and demonstration of interpersonal relationships in a manner that enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, residents, family members, staff, the general public and *governmental agency representatives. Basic computer skills required.
