The Central Processing Aide is responsible for the proper cleaning, decontamination, and inspection of all supplies, instruments and equipment, utilized in the facility, according to the manufacturer's instructions for use. In addition to this they are accountable and responsible for the proper reprocessing, assembling, and sterilization, of all supplies, instruments and equipment, utilized in the facility, according to the manufacturer's instructions for use. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.Salary Range: $15.74 - $19.73*This is designated as a safety-sensitive position*This is a union position.$1,500 Sign on bonus with experience (Pro-Rate for Part Time Positions)EDUCATIONEducation: Post high school training and/or specialized education preferred.Experience: Minimum One (1) year in a Central Processing Department, Surgery Department, or equivalent, which includes general knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, decontamination, and sterilization techniques preferred.Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred.
