Position Overview: As a Sales Director for the Professional Football League, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts to drive revenue generation and maximize ticket sales, sponsorships, and other commercial opportunities. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sales strategies, building relationships with corporate partners, and driving revenue growth for the League and its teams. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the League's objectives and revenue targets.
Identify key market segments, customer profiles, and sales channels to optimize sales opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Business Development, to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals.
Sponsorship and Partnership Sales:
Lead the sales efforts to secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships for the League and its teams.
Identify and target potential sponsors, conduct negotiations, and oversee contract development.
Maintain relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring their satisfaction and maximizing renewal opportunities.
Ticket Sales and Revenue Generation:
Develop and execute strategies to maximize ticket sales for games and special events.
Oversee ticketing operations, including pricing strategies, inventory management, and sales promotions.
Implement innovative sales techniques and campaigns to drive ticket sales and revenue growth.
Relationship Building:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, season ticket holders, and fan groups.
Attend networking events, industry conferences, and community activities to expand the League's network and sales opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a coordinated approach to client management and relationship building.
Sales Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets.
Set performance targets, track sales metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Foster a positive and results-driven sales culture, motivating the team to exceed targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
Sales Analytics and Reporting:

Sales Collateral and Presentations:
Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to develop sales collateral, presentations, and sales tools.
Ensure that sales materials are up-to-date, compelling, and aligned with the League's brand standards.
Deliver persuasive and impactful sales presentations to potential clients and partners.
Revenue Optimization and Budget Management:
Monitor sales revenues, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for revenue optimization.
Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing return on investment.
Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and revenue projections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
Strong track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
