With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world’s most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.Analyst, Capital Markets Risk and ResiliencyThe successful candidate will report to the Capital Markets Risk and Resiliency manager, this is a first line role within the Capital Markets business which will support Capital Markets Operational Resiliency and Third-Party Risk programs.The Analyst will work within the team to closely interact with different stakeholders across the organization to ensure that Third Party risks are appropriately managed, and that Corporate Risk Policy and supporting guidelines are embedded and adhered to. Works with more Senior team members to provide guidance to others as a project manager or consultant. Is building up a working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and building knowledge of the company, processes and clients. Receives a good level of guidance and direction.Key ResponsibilitiesAssists in the Third-Party Risk governance framework in the 1LOD, with oversight and reporting to C&IS and Global Services Leadership on related risk and control profile, issues / incidents and any relevant emerging risks.Supports Senior team members in their work with Vendor Managers to ensure that Third Party Risk policies and guidelines are adhered to, and provide actionable support and guidance to the Business.Escalates any concerning trends to Senior team members and / or Management. This may include (but not limited to) oversight and monitoring of emerging risks, weaknesses in controls and material change programs, deterioration in service / performance standards, and provide guidance on mitigating actions.Supports Senior team members in first level review of internal and external Third-Party Risk related events and issues, to ensure that the root cause is adequately identified, and remediation actions are fit for purpose.Assist in the support of local regulatory and audit engagements pertaining to Third Party Risk; this includes supporting remediation activities.Works with Senior team members in Third Party Risk awareness and risk management culture in order to ensure that the material risks are both evident and effectively managed.Assists in solving problems in straightforward situations.Builds knowledge to begin to analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the teamWorks within guidelines and policiesKnowledge/SkillsAppreciation of Third-Party Risk management principles, including experience with policy development, control definition, and application of controls in the businessAwareness of Third-Party Risk control environmentUnderstanding of corporate risk policies and standards on Third-PartyAccustomed to data analytics tools and reporting including PowerBIUnderstands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own workGood communication skillsExperience Preferred1-2 years of related experience in roles working with Operational Resiliency, Third Party risk management or Capital Markets preferredWorking with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
