Responsibilities: • Welcome, register, check-in, and check out guests staying at the hotel, provide keys and room numbers, and record credit card information • Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs • Connect with the housekeeping department to ensure guest accommodations are ready • Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct • Field customer complaints when necessary • Manage online and phone reservations • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data • Register guests by collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate Qualifications: • Must have graduated high school, received a GED or equivalent • 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred • Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems • Has experience answering telephone calls and troubleshooting stressful situations • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role • Experience with hotel reservation software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor • Customer service attitude • Excellent communication and organizational skills • A degree in hotel management is a plus Compensation: $14 - $15 hourly
