Estimating & Purchasing Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimating & Purchasing Manager to join our team at Kiella Homebuilders. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimation and purchasing processes for our new construction homes of which we build around 120 per year. You will work closely with our VP of Construction as well as our vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates and purchases are made to support our construction projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze cost estimates for residential construction projectsCollaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotesReview construction plans and specifications to identify materials and quantities neededManage the bidding process for subcontractors and negotiate pricingDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractorsCreate and manage purchasing schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and suppliesMonitor and track project costs and budgetAssist in value engineering and cost-saving initiativesRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and purchasing for residential construction projectsStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practicesProficient in using estimating software and toolsExcellent negotiation and interpersonal skillsAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracyAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite
