The Crane Operator is responsible for providing the safe operation of the crane by performing crane setup, pre-trip inspection, rigging, and crane operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate crane under general supervisionManipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructionsEnsure load is properly securedReview rigging work prior to liftingInspect crane for safety issues on a daily basisComplete job tickets, and all other necessary paperworkLife, position, and place machinery, equipment, or other large objects ad locationsDrive crane to work sitePlace blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loadsMove levers and pedals to rotate crane on chassis to raise and lower crane boom and to raise and lower load lineAttends and participates in safety meetingsUnderstand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, weight and dimension requirements, and any other regulations that are requiredReports any and all incidents immediatelyAble to work in all weather conditionsPerforms other duties as directed by managementRequired Skills

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust possess organizational and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work with a teamMust be able to lift 60 pounds and handle physically demanding workMust be able to communicate using oral and basic written communicationMust pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing poolMust pass a background check and motor vehicle record checkArrange for reliable transportation to and from work
