** Material Handler/ Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift****Job Description**Moves material from storage to work sites as needed. Maintains production by moving in-process material from work site to work site as directed.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITES:**Operate industrial truck and/or crane system to assist in loading or moving materials and products.Reads work orders or follows oral instruction to determine what materials or containers need to be moved.Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks or staging areas.Load and unload vehicles as necessary via lifting devices or crane system.Attach identification tags on baskets, bins or racks of material for recording purposes.Records transactions to ensure accurate inventory of material via computerized system.Support Quality and environmental management systems as required.Performs other duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.**LANGUAGE SKILLS:**Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.**MATHMATICAL SKILLS:**Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.**REASONING ABILITIES:**Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:**Must be able to obtain a fork-lift license.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
