Position Responsibilities:
Performing opening duties including unlocking doors, preparing overnight ER patient charts, and printing daily appointment lists
Greeting patients and making them feel welcome in our clinic
Accurately updating patient demographics
Updating and verifying insurance eligibility
Collecting payments and copayments; performing daily cash box reconciliation
Directing or assisting patients in completing appropriate paperwork
Checking out patients and scheduling follow-up appointments when necessary
Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Previous customer service experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately
Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed
