By blending people-centric leadership with disciplined operational strategies and purpose-driven growth, Barry-Wehmiller has become a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.**Job Description:****POSITION SUMMARY**The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the daily oversight of inventory to include receiving, material handling, parts issuance and schedule adherence.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Counts, weighs, or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.* Supports receiving, identifying, issuing, and storing materials/parts in established location using appropriate identification method* Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.* Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.* Performs work under direct supervision.* Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher level staff.* Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials* Assist with unloading of incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage' compare items and quantities received against freight bills* Assist with maintaining records of all items received* Assist with cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy* Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move, stock or organize storage* Attend team meetings; may provide input on quality, cost, or production issues* Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion* Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.* Other duties as assigned**PURCHASING AUTHORITY LEVEL:**None**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**None**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**None required**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
