As the needs of the automotive industry rapidly evolve, Vitro stays ahead of the curve to help automakers, distributors and installers meet the ever-changing standards for safety, efficiency and sustainability.We have an exciting opportunity at our Crestline (Mansfield), Ohio plant for a Maintenance Planner / Supervisor / Engineer. The Planner will develop the scheduled maintenance programs and processes for the production facility to minimize the impact on production. This position is responsible for all decisions of the facility's preventative maintenance program, including but not limited to decisions involving budget spending and staffing for PMs and may assist with supervision of craft type personnel for the installation phase of projects and PMs. The Maintenance Planner, reports to the Manager of Engineering & Maintenance.Other responsibilities include:Responsibilities:Responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are captured and reported for equipment reliability. Incumbent will continually improve planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.Plan the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/preventive, predictive/design-out activities on plant and equipment.Plan all labor needs for scheduled PM work to be completed in a safe and timely manner.Comply with all safety standards and rules set forth by the company and ensure all workers do the sameInsure plant and equipment run properly when it is required for operation, and to correct equipment and machines when necessary to keep them running for the life of the organizationClose work orders daily and maintain files of completed work orders for a 2 year periodSchedule and plan maintenance work into a maintenance planCreate a daily maintenance plan for display to all departmentsCompile KPIs and daily maintenance plan into a daily maintenance reportUse maintenance plan to create a weekly maintenance planCompile KPIs and weekly maintenance plan into a weekly maintenance reportKeep a master schedule of all required maintenance needed on yearly basisSchedule maintenance work in conjunction with production planningPurchase parts, equipment, services and documentation needed ahead of scheduled planned workWrite applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free work qualityMaintain and keep updated preventative maintenance work orders and procedures in work order systemMaintain list of all equipment and ensure all preventative maintenance needed for equipment is entered into work order systemAccurately track equipment maintenance history and job records, and technical information on processes, plant and equipment in work order systemApply good stores management practices and parts management to ensure parts and equipment retain full reliabilityParticipate in projects and PMs as neededQualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Logistics, or Business Administration or related fields preferred or equivalent experiencePrefer exposure/experience in any/all - Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical; operations management; management logistics, etc.Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance planning in a manufacturing environmentSolid appreciation of risk management strategy and practices related to plant and equipmentSound and correct understanding of equipment reliability concepts; solid appreciation of quality management methods and practices related to plant and equipment reliabilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent leadership and organizational skillsMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Computerized Maintenance System (CMM)Knowledge with computerized drafting skills preferred.Individual must be able to work productively in a team environmentIndividual must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervisionMust possess strong time management skills
