Herrick Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our company in the construction of water and wastewater treatment plant facilities in Kentucky and the surrounding region.Applicants should have experience working on similar projects performing safe and productive crane operations for heavy civil construction activities. This includes, but is not limited to, handling rebar bundles, placing concrete with crane and bucket, placing stone with crane and bucket, setting concrete gang forms, planning and performing critical picks, maintaining and greasing crane equipment, performing daily, weekly, and monthly crane inspections, and providing the required written reports.Requirements NCCCO Certified (or ability to obtain NCCCO Certification in a short amount of time) and experienced crane operator capable of operating mobile hydraulic cranes ranging from 15 ton to 100-ton capacity. Work with Site Superintendent and Foremen to plan picks and maintain productivity of the project through material handling, form placement, concrete placement, etc. Well versed in crane inspections and reporting for various crane sizes and types. Ability to review crane charts and assist in the planning of both day-to-day picks and critical picks. The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking on narrow scaffolding at elevated heights. The ability to work in teams and communicate with others. The ability to always work safely and promote safety for yourself and other team members. Safety Minded (OSHA 10 hr. certification preferred and provided) Must be available to consistently work the employers normal work hours (4-10s) and occasionally be available for overtime work, if requested and scheduled. Willingness to provide field labor assistance and aide in construction activities when not performing crane operations. Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain a plus. Additional construction craft skills and construction equipment operator capabilities a plus. Willingness to travel required.
