TSC is seeking a full time, on-site
System Administrator
(SA)
to manage multiple Information Systems (IS) in accordance with DoD/Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies. The position will require the system administrator to support existing ISs and to assist in the development and accreditation of new ISs.
This position is ideal for a passionate IT professional who wants to support an engineering team working on cutting-edge model, simulation and other technologies supporting critical US Govt. missions.
Radar Signal Processing and Simulation operations (Silver Spring location) performs design, development, and analytic evaluations of system performance as well as systems engineering for sophisticated radar, communications, and weapons systems. Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain computer information systems utilizing Linux operating systemsCommunicate with IS Owners (ISO) to ensure systems meet their needsAssist with the creation and maintenance of security documentationHarden systems to meet DoD security policiesPerform system maintenance, updates, and backupsCoordinate with government security accessors and other representativesRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor of science or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years systems administer experience with 3 or more years of Linux network administrationUS Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD top security clearanceIAT Level 2 (per DoD 8570.01M)Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Network Configurations and architectureStrong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and softwareKnowledgeable of the Risk Management Framework and DoD 8510.01Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a small team environmentExperience maintaining classified systemsExperience with Red Hat Enterprise LinuxExperience building server environmentsCOMSEC experience
