Job Title: Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer
Location: Midtown NYC
Our client is a mid-sized financial services firm committed to delivering exceptional services and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of robust ETL processes.
Position Overview: The Data Warehouse / Informatica ETL Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of ETL processes, with a focus on leveraging Informatica PowerCenter tools. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of data warehouse solutions, supporting error handling conditions, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our data management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Assume a senior role within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior members as needed.Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts for data manipulation and validation purposes.Implement error handling conditions and validations to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process.Utilize Linux environments for hands-on development and troubleshooting tasks.Explore opportunities for automation and optimization of ETL processes, leveraging Ruby scripting experience where applicable.Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data warehousing and ETL processes.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing ETL processes, preferably in a senior capacity within a team.Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience developing ETL processes, with a strong focus on Informatica PowerCenter tools.Proficiency in T-SQL for data manipulation and querying.Experience in designing, building, and supporting ETL error handling conditions and validations.Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments.Experience with Ruby scripting is a definite plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Financial services related experience preferred.THIS IS A CONTRACT to HIRE POSITION.
